Regulation of regulator, receptor, cytokine, and signaling DEGs affected during neutrophil-C. albicans encounter. Neutrophil DEGs from the ‘neutrophil core response’ upon C. albicans infection were grouped according to the function of their coded protein. Those coding for transcriptional regulators (a), receptors (b), signaling effectors (c), and cytokines (d) are plotted. The transcript profile is displayed for 15 min, 30 min and 60 min p.i. with yeast or hyphae. Red indicates up-regulation, blue indicates down-regulation. Samples from two independent experiments using different blood donors were analyzed, n = 2
