The single ubiquitin-NiSOD fusion shown in Stramenopiles under ‘Other heterotrophs’ corresponds to a sequence from the marine labyrinthulid Aplanochytrium stocchinoi; it is unclear whether this sequence comes from this non-photosynthetic organism or is an algal contaminant (see text)
