miRNA differentially expressed in multiple tissues. Three of the miRNA differentially expressed in the lung, heart, and kidney of the injured animals (rno-miR-22, rno-miR-22-3p, and rno-miR-378a-3p) were down-regulated in the heart, but upregulated in the kidney and lung. This is also seen with the miRNA differentially expressed in both the heart and lung. Of the 25 shared miRNA, 15 were regulated in the opposite direction, with all of them down-regulated in the heart, and up-regulated in the lung.
