Schematic representation of homologous regions in grass genomes. The seven ancestral chromosomes and twelve rice chromosomes was used as reference were related to chromosomes in different grasses, including Oryza sativa (Os), Brachypodium distachyon (Bd), Hordeum vulgare (Hv), Ae. Tauschii (Ae). Each colored block in extant genome corresponds to a homologous region in a referenc genome. An extant chromosome is displayed in two color schemes, with the blocks in left and right, respectively corresponding to the ancestral or the rice chromosomes
