The strain was inoculated in minimal medium 457 supplemented with a mixture of phytosterols added in powder (brassicasterol, campesterol, stigmasterol and β-sitosterol). The panel shows the consumption of each compound (y-axis, relative peak area) versus the time since the phytosterol addition to the medium (x-axis). The relative peak area is the ratio between the HPLC peak obtained for each phytosterol and the peak of pregnenolone used as internal control. A representative experiment is shown
