The expression of genes involved in nitrogen (N) uptake and assimilation in response to N. Plants were grown under deficient N conditions for 2 weeks. Expression of ZmNR2, ZmNIR2, GS3, and ZmNRT1 at a series of time points after nitrate treatment was measured by qRT-PCR.
