Karyotyping of Saccharomycodes ludwigii UTAD17, based on PFGE. Total DNA of S. ludwigii UTAD17 was separated by PFGE, as detailed in materials and methods. In the end of the run 7 clearly separated bands, presumed to correspond to the 7 chromosomes of S. ludwigii UTAD17, were obtained. Molecular sizes of these chromosomes was estimated based on the migration pattern obtained for the chromosomal bands from Hansenula wingei (lane A) and Saccharomyces cerevisiae BY4741 that were used as markers  (lane B).
