Quantitative real time-PCR (qRT-PCR) of four key representative A. thaliana SD-RLK genes in response to six selected abiotic stresses. Selected stress conditions are ozone (40 ppb), wounding, methyl viologen (25 μM), cold temperature (8 °C), UV-B (0.99 w m− 2 s− 1) light (500 μmol quanta m− 2 s− 1) for 2, 6, and 12 h. Relative changes in mRNA level were normalized with two reference genes, i.e. AtAPT and AtEF1α. Data represents the mean of fold increase over control sample ± SD of three biological replicates (n = 3). A single asterisk (*) indicates p < 0.05, a double asterisk (**) indicates p < 0.01, and a triple asterisk (***) indicates p < 0.001 for one–way analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Tukey’s post hoc test between control and treated samples
