Interpretation

Model 1: ~IW + MTS + BIC + RIN

Gene expression of tick-exposed and non-exposed groups (defined by infestation timepoint).

Model 2A: ~ MTS + BIC + RIN

Gene expression of low and high host resistance groups (defined by MTS) at pre-infestation timepoint.

Model 2B: ~MTS + TPS + BIC + RIN

Gene expression of low and high host resistance groups (defined by MTS) at post-infestation timepoints.
