The effect of mating on the expression levels of metabolism-related genes was detected by qRT-PCR in the midgut of D. suzukii females. RNA was extracted from the midgut of mature vigin females as well as mated females at 24, 48 h after mating. Error bars indicate the SEM of three independent biological replicates and various letters represent statistically significant differences of the expression level of genes (p < 0.05, Student’ s t-test)
