  1. *bold numbers represent pairwise common interval distances between mt gene orders of Acari (37 genes in total), while italic numbers represent pairwise common interval distances between mt gene orders of Acari without tRNAs (15 genes in total) (L. pallidum and M. occidentalis were excluded from the dataset as the genomes contain duplicated genes whereas other genes are absent). Accession numbers of Acari mt genomes are listed in Table 1.
