The integration of FPC contigs and LG1 of the papaya genome. The numerical scale at the left is the cumulative length of LG1 in centimorgans. The FPC contigs in green color were mapped to LG1 using BES-derived SSRs. The FPC contigs in pink color were mapped to LG1 using shotgun sequence-derived SSRs. The three layers of information, genetic map, FPC contigs, and WGS scaffolds, can be found in the Additional files 2 &3.
