The authors reported that the caption of Figure 5 was incorrect in the originally published version. The correct caption is:

Figure 5: 1H NMR spectra overlaid (4-fold) of the polar fraction of HepG2 cells exposed to DMSO (below) and TCDD (above). The following metabolites are identified by using standards, from the literature and/or databases and the numbers of the signals correspond to those indicated in Table 3. 1and 2: leucine and isoleucine; 3: valine: 4: threonine: 5: lactate; 6: alanine; 7: N-acetyl-aspartate; 8: glutamate; 9: glutamine; 10: oxidized glutathione; 11: reduced glutathione; 12: aspartate; 13: citrate; 14: creatine and/or phosphocreatine; 15: choline derivatives; 16: taurine; 17: glycine; 18: serine; 19: nucleotides derived from adenosine (AMP, ADP, ATP); 20: nucleotides derived from uridine (UMP, UDP, UTP); 21: nicotinamide adenine dinucleotides (NAD, NADH, NADP and/or NADPH); 22: tyrosine; 23: formate.
