Intracellular parasites were labelled with anti-WCB antibody (green), while extracellular parasites were labelled with anti-WCB antibody (green) and anti-T. c. marinkellei serum (red), which superimposed gives the yellow color. T. c. cruzi and T. c. marinkellei parasites were incubated for 5 days with Vero (monkey), OK (opossum) and Tb1-Lu cells before Giemsa staining.
