Effect of Padma 28 on cell viability. HepG2 cells (2 × 10⁴/well) were seeded into 96-well plates, pre-cultured for 24 h and then treated with solvent (0.9% EtOH) or Padma 28 ethanolic extract (12.5–400 μg/ml) for 72 h. The mean percentages of cell growth relative to solvent-treated cells were plotted against the concentrations of Padma 28. Mean values ± S.E.M. of four independent experiments run in duplicates (*p <0.05; **p <0.005, compared to untreated cells) are shown.
