Data points represent means of three replicates ± standard deviations. Expression levels of lasI, rhlI and pqsA in cultures of wild type PAO1 (B.) and ΔparR (C.) at different cell densities. Bacteria were grown in AB minimal medium + 2% casamino acids and RNA was isolated from cells harvested at six different growth stages (OD600). The relative abundance of lasI (♦), rhlI () and pqsA (▲) was estimated based on rpoD transcript quantity in cDNA samples determined by qRT-PCR.
