- If the breakpoint region of a deletion, i.e., the interval defined by l and r of the cluster, overlaps another breakpoint region, these deletions are assigned to the same component. That means, non-overlapping deletions build components of size one, pairs of overlapping deletions build components of size two, etc. Note that deletions found in one region (cf. Section "Method") do not necessarily build one component. Below, the number of regions and components for different sizes are given.
