Selection of strains with a divergent phenotype at low temperature. Strains P5 (green) and P24 (red) were selected on the basis of the μmax (h-1) in SD (A) and SM (B) at 15°C (1) and 28°C (2). Due to differences in the growth rate, different scales were used for μmax distribution in SD and SM.
