Representative 2DGE image obtained from low ionic strength (LIS) extracts of human vastus lateralis skeletal muscle. 2DGE was performed using a pH range of 5–8 in the first dimension and SDS-PAGE (11%T) in the second. Protein loading was 700 μg, and the gels were stained using colloidal Coomassie blue G-250. Differentially expressed and identified proteins are marked and spot numbers refer to Table 2.
