Regulatory interrelationship of PhLP1 and ENV1 at the level of transcription. (A) phlp1 transcript levels are enhanced in ∆env1 mutant strain compared to the wildtype. (B) env1 transcript levels are decreased in the ∆phlp1 mutant strain compared to the wildtype. Strains were cultivated on glycerol as carbon source for 24 hours in darkness (24DD) and then exposed to light for 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes (minutes DL), respectively.
