The upper bars show the number of significantly upregulated genes, the lower bars the number of significantly downregulated genes for all combinations of the two populations Cro1 and SB and the three different treatments BttO, BttP and PC against their respective naïve controls. Significant up- and downregulation is based on Cufflinks analyses with the default q-value cutoff of 0.05 [60]; see Additional file 2.
