(A) Alignments of miR-2 precursor sequences from the mitten crab E. sinensis and other invertebrates including Daphnia pulex, Drosophila melanogaster, Apis mellifera, Tribolium castaneum, Lottia gigantean, Ascaris suum, Nasonia vitripennis, Ixodes scapularis, Caenorhabditis remanei. The identical nucleotides were shaded with color table. The mature miRNA sequence is underlined. (B) The hairpin structure of the crab miR-2 precursor predicted using the RNA-fold server on the website http://mfold.rna.albany.edu/?q=mfold. The mature miRNA sequence is shown in red.
