mDA-ORs are expressed in mDA neurons and in mouse brain. a) OR genes are expressed in A9 and A10 DA neurons. 2000 DA cells were harvested by LCM. Equal numbers of non-DA cells were collected from the same brain region. OE was also included. Non-quantitative PCR was performed with specific primers. Results are representative of n = 3 independent harvesting. b) In situ hybridization of selected mDA-ORs in mouse DA neurons. Ventral midbrain slices were processed with Olfr287, Olfr316 and Olfr558 specific probes (green). DA neurons were visualized by immunohistochemistry with anti-TH antibody (red).
