Phylogeny of he65 and p43 reveals horizontal gene transfer in ErelGV from Alphabaculovirus . (A) The maximum likelihood (ML) tree was inferred using the conserved amino-terminal region alignment of he65-like gene for 36 baculoviruses and two entomopoxviruses. Circles indicate the presence (blue) or absence (red) of the carboxy-terminal region. The postulated horizontal gene transfer (HGT) events are highlighted for Betabaculovirus (light and dark orange), Betaentomopoxvirus (yellow), and ErelGV (green).
