Two methods of pooling standard deviations of M: sorting by I avg or by I min . The standard deviation (σM) is pooled by taking the moving average of the variance (σM 2). For spots with σM' > σM, the average residual error is 0.28; for spots with σM' < σM, the average residual error is 0.31.
