The first pie chart after the each family name shows the proportions of human-rat one-to-one orthologues (O), human specific (H) and rat specific (R) members. The second pie chart displays the proportions of rat-mouse one-to-one orthologues (O), rat specific (R) and mouse specific (M) members. In Figure 3, the place of the large group of V2Rs is indicated with an arrow. Rat sequences that were excluded from the phylogenetic analysis because they were incomplete (due to gaps in the genome assembly) are displayed with dashed branches.
