Cold- and hypoxia-acclimation alleviated oxidation damage upon lethal cold exposure. Larvae at 96 hpf were subjected to cold- or hypoxia-acclimation for 24 h and then incubated at 10°C for 12 h. The larvae in the same plate were homogenized for lipid peroxidation assays with a kit based on the reaction of thiobarbituric acid (TBA) with malondialdehyde (MDA). The MDA content was normalized to protein concentration. Data was shown as mean ± standard deviation (n = 3). Different letters above the error bars indicate significant differences (p < 0.05) among treatment groups.
