Confirming the mini-circle chromosome in Scirtothrips dorsalis cryptic species SA1. Specific primers spanning putative nad6/nad4 and nad6/rrnL gene boundaries fail to amplify (H0, lanes 1 and 3 respectively). Internal primers amplify a portion of nad6 (lane 2) while the reverse compliment of these primers (HA, lane 4) completes the 921 bp nad6 chromosome. Non-numbered lanes are negative controls for each PCR
