The concentrations of blood retinol in the MRL/MpJ mouse relative to the C57BL/6J reference. The mean retinol concentrations determined for the C57BL/6J and MRL/MpJ mouse, were 1.42 (n = 6) and 1.09 μg/ml (n = 6), respectively. The accuracy of the measurement method was estimated as 0.06 μg/ml. The mean difference in concentrations was statistically significant as determined by homoscedastic two-tailed Student’s t-test (p-value = 0.026)
