Tolerance to high temperature of maize seedlings over-expressing OsMYB55. a Wild type (WT) and over-expression transgenic (P1, P5) plants were grown at control temperature (29 °C / 23 °C day/night) until the second leaf stage. Plants were then moved to high temperature regime (42 °C /35 °C) for five days. Control plants were maintained at normal temperature. b Measurement of total dry biomass, plant height, stem diameter and chlorophyll content after five days of heat treatment, expressed as reduction compared to control plants.
