Representative photographs of histological, immunohistochemical and TUNEL analyses of the tumor tissues. H&E: hematoxylin and eosin staining for histopathology; TUNEL: staining of apoptotic cells in tumor tissue; NK1.1: to detect the infiltrated natural killer (NK) cells, the tumor tissues were treated with purified anti-mouse NK1.1 monoclonal antibody; CD11b: to detect the recruited antigen-presenting cells (dendritic cells and macrophage), the tumor tissues were treated with purified anti-mouse CD11b monoclonal antibody; and CD31: to detect tumor microvessels endothelial cells and vascular density, the tumor tissues were treated with anti-CD31 antibody. Brown staining indicates positive staining cells.
