Note that in brocket deer, autosomal copies of KIT are located on MGO24 corresponding to a region of BTA6 [27]. Translocation of a 480-kbp regions from BTA6 to BTA29 is a previously characterized rearrangement associated with colour sidedness in cattle [24]
