  1. The relative quantitation of gene expression was conducted via the 2 − ΔΔCt method, with actin as an endogenous reference. Data from three biological replicates were used to calculate the mean and standard deviation in DPS based on Student’s t-test. Values followed by different letters indicate significant difference at P < 0.05. ‘G’: Green-leafed variety; ‘P’: Purple-leafed variety
