Differentially expressed genes in the peripheral blood of established T1D patients. a Heatmap showing the hierarchical clustering of samples based on genes that were found by microarray analysis to be differentially expressed by ≥2-fold in established TN-T1D patients compared to healthy controls (Moderated T-test, Benjamini-Hochberg correction, P < 0.05). Both TN-T1D and control samples were collected and processed in Tempus tubes. b Venn-diagram showing that 316 genes out of the 901 genes that are affected by sample processing are also differentially expressed in the peripheral blood of established T1D patients.
