Percentage of the masked gap sequences of each type of repeats. 3934 gaps are extracted from the draft genome of human chromosome 14 that is released in GAGE. By aligning the flanking sequences to the human reference, we extract the gap sequences. We use RepeatMasker to get the types of repeats (e.g. LINE, SINE, LTR elements, etc) of these gap sequences. One gap may be masked to multiple repeat types. The left part shows the percentage of masked gaps for each repeat type. The right part shows the percentage of masked bases for each repeat type
