Summary of molecular mechanisms utilized during hibernation by the central bearded dragon and other hibernators. For each biological process, a tick indicates there is sufficient evidence to suggest that the process occurs, whereas a cross indicates a lack of, or insufficient, evidence that the process occurs rather than not occurring.
