Error rate estimates. All error rate estimates are very close between programs, indicating that using any of the fast programs would not add errors beyond what would be obtained with blastp. As expected, error rate estimates increase with genome divergence. The error rate estimates are higher in eukaryotes (note that the scale is different to that for bacteria), presumably due to the complex dynamics of eukaryotic chromosomes
