Protein–protein interaction (PPI) network analysis of differentially apoptosis-associated proteins. The following network model is generated using Cytoscape web application, based on information gained up to four levels of functional analysis: fold change of gene/protein, protein-protein interaction, biological process enrichment, andKEGG pathway enrichment (http://www.genome.jp/kegg/) [33, 34]. Circle nodes for genes/proteins and rectangle for KEGG pathway or biological process. Pathways are colored with gradient color from yellow to blue, where yellow represents smaller P-value and blue represents larger P-value. Biological processes are colored with red. In case of fold-change analysis, genes/proteins are colored in red (up-regulation) and green (down-regulation). Default confidence cut-off of 400 was used: interactions with bigger confident scores are shown as solid lines between genes/proteins; otherwise, as dashed lines
