As expression levels for different genes varied greatly, the y-axes of each panel were scaled independently. Northern blots, shown below each coverage graph, revealed sRNA expression throughout development (time of RNA harvest is shown in hours). 5S rRNA was probed as a control for RNA quantity and integrity.
