Heatmaps of significantly differentially expressed phenylpropanoid genes. Lists of genes up- or down-regulated consistently were mined for gene models annotated with putative function in the phenylpropanoid pathway. GmF6H was upregulated, while GmI2′H, GmF3′H, GmF3′5′H, GmDFR were downregulated in high root isoflavonoid cultivars. Data for all three replicates are shown for each soybean cultivar.
