The insert shows regular oscillations of the 1st derivative of the nucleosome occupancy. b Fuzzy regions have decreased nucleosome occupancy and are not associated with specifically positioned nucleosomes. These are preferentially nucleosome-depleted regions such as active promoters and enhancers
