Representative Coomassie Brilliant Blue (CBB)-stained two-dimensional electrophoresis (2DE) gel. Proteins were extracted from the alkaligrass calli under NaCl treatments for 28 days. They were separated on 24 cm IPG strips (pH 4–7 liner gradient) using isoelectric focusing (IEF) in the first dimension, followed by 12.5% SDS-PAGE gels in the second dimension. The numbered gel spots contain the 82 proteins identified by MALDI TOF-TOF mass spectrometry. Please refer to Additional file 1: Figure S1 and Additional file 2: Table S1 for detailed information
